Refencing other historical depictions of Delft, This eschews the traditional. Where you can see in the background the historic spires of both the Oude Kerk and the Maria van Jessekerk rising from above a contemporary shopping centre. The Blue truck is a reference to historic Delft blue, but in applied to a modern object.
